Pakistan Expresses Solidarity with Nepal Over Devastating Floods and Landslides

Kathmandu: Pakistan has expressed solidarity with Nepal following the devastating floods and landslides that caused significant loss of life and property in the country last week.

 

On the instructions of the President of Pakistan, former Chairman of the Senate Syed Nayyar Bokhari and President’s Spokesperson Murtaza Solangi visited the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad to convey condolences on behalf of the President and people of Pakistan.

The Pakistani representatives expressed deep sorrow over the loss and devastation caused by the massive floods that followed landslides and the bursting of a glacier in the China-Nepal border region.

 

Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan Rita Dhital received the representatives and thanked the Government and people of Pakistan for their solidarity and support to Nepal during the difficult situation.

 

During the visit, Syed Nayyar Bokhari and Murtaza Solangi also recorded messages of condolence and solidarity in the visitors’ book at the Nepali Embassy.

 

The visit reflects Pakistan’s support for Nepal at a time when the country is dealing with the aftermath of a devastating natural disaster.
